Marmaduke lives in a world where a large pack of dogs roaming through the streets is considered a whimsical celebratory spectacle rather than a public health risk.

Marmaduke is tricking his owner-lady into receiving a Diarrhea Eyeball, a popular practical joke from the 1930s and the latest in Marmaduke creator Brad Anderson's stream of antiquated reference to pre-Eisenhower popular culture.

Marmaduke traded away his owner-lady's vacuum cleaner. He traded it away for some bones, then hid the bones in the closet where his owner-lady used to keep her vacuum cleaner.

Marmaduke is chewing on one of the bones now. His owner-lady is looking in the closet, having just discovered that Marmaduke traded away her vacuum cleaner, for some bones. She is beginning to confront him about what he has done (trade away her vacuum cleaner). There seems to be something fucked up going on with Marmaduke's eye.

Nigh-unfathomably complex and epic TWO-PART SPECIAL EDITION

Marmaduke is going kite-flying. However, it's not a good day to fly a kite, and kite-flying isn't one of Marmaduke's strong points.

I am going to take a little vacation for about a week, partially because I am afraid to keep reading; judging by the look on his face in the second panel, the logical continuation of this story involves Marmaduke angrily defending his pride by doing unspeakable things to those little girls, and there's enough horror in this world without having to deal with something like that in the funny pages.

Marmaduke is taking a nap with his owner-man. Marmaduke's owner-lady, who along with her husband is a longtime dry-hump enthusiast, makes a snide comment regarding owner-man's laziness to her backup DH partner.

Did you know that it's Fine Art Week?

Well, it is. What that means for you is literally hours* of entertainment every day this week on my other web blogs... Check out Joe Mathlete Will Draw Anything You Ask Him To for a week's worth of stuff people make me draw on index cards with crayons and markers, and also Joe Mathlete's Great American Blog for my brilliant deconstruction of the works of one of surrealism's greatest visualists, simply titled "Magritte Explained."

Yay! Fine Art Week! Hooray! Wheee!

Marmaduke creator Brad Anderson rails at inequalities in the prejudicial and inherently biased pollster system, as his traditional one-panel format becomes insufficient to contain his scathing and righteous political screeds (this is infinitely more effective if you imagine Marmaduke is a disenfranchised minority rather than a belligerent dog).

T-Shirt Update

So I finally got all my ducks in a row and was prepared to send out confirmation emails to those of you who reserved the final MARMADUKE IS AN ASSHOLE t-shirts, and I ended up with Gmail blowing up in my face. Come Monday, I'm either going to figure out what a "PERM_FAILURE: Message rejected for Sector 5 policy reasons" message means, or come up with a different plan. But either way, "stay tuned, campers!"

Gmail is an asshole.
